Volunteer Information

Junior High and High School Volunteers Needed:

Are you in need of volunteer/service hours for school, church or another organization? Why not volunteer your time this fall with Oriole Park Youth Football and Cheer.  We are always in need of extra help on game days with setting up the field, concession stand, and cleaning up the field and concession areas at the end of the day.  For more information on volunteering/service hours, please contact Sharon Swank at oriolepyfa@aol.com

Falcon Family Volunteer Information:

To be successful, the Oriole Park Falcons Youth Football and Cheer program requires numerous hours of volunteer time each season. Accordingly, we have adding volunteering as a crucial requirement of each child’s participation in the program.

Starting this year we are implementing a "volunteer fee" as an incentive for all of our families to meet their required hours. In doing so, we hope to not only alleviate our continued struggle with obtaining enough help when and where it is needed, but also ensure that every family participates and does their fair share.

Here are the details:

Each family will be required to submit a separate post-dated check in the amount of $50.  This check will be held by our treasurer until that family completes their required volunteer hours.  Once they turn in their signed volunteer sheet showing they have completed their hours, their post-dated check will be returned to them.  If at the end of the season they have not fulfilled  their  required volunteer hours, their post-dated check will  be cashed by the program.

Volunteer sheets will be given out during football and cheer uniform/equipment hand out days.  Your post-dated check, in the amount of $50, will need to be handed in at this time. Once your check has been turned in, and the check information has been noted on your volunteer sheet, your child(ren) will receive his /her equipment/uniform.

Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of 5 hours of time this season. Volunteer hours can be filled by a parent, guardian, or other adult, (14 or older), family member.

An online sign-up sheet will be available during the season so families can plan ahead and volunteer for those days and hours that work the best for them.

It will be each family’s responsibility to keep track of their volunteer hours and to have their volunteer sheet signed by  their child’s head coach, team mom, or one of the board members, after each assignment is completed.
