In August of 2014, Donevyn Culkin-Hall, a running back from the Rio Rancho Punishers Association became ill with spinal meningitis.  After a long fight and two brain surgeries, Donevyn has emerged triumphant and is well on his way to healing.

Missed greatly by his teammates and coaches, the Punishers honored Donevyn during Game 4 by having kick the opening kick-off.  The Punishers would also like to thank Southwest Gridiron for their assistance and support and the Scorpions Association for displaying such strong sportsmanship in honoring Donevyn.  The boys look forward to playing with their teammate once again in the near future!
