Junior High and High School Volunteers Needed:
Are you in need of volunteer/service hours for school, church or another organization? Why not volunteer your time this fall with Oriole Park Youth Football and Cheer. We are always in need of extra help on game days with setting up the field, concession stand, and cleaning up the field and concession areas at the end of the day. For more information on volunteering/service hours, please contact Sharon Swank at email@example.com
Falcon Family Volunteer Information:
To be successful in its day to day operations, the Oriole Park Falcons Youth Football and Cheer program requires numerous hours of volunteer time each season. Accordingly, we have included volunteering as an important requirement of each child’s participation in the program.
The Family Volunteer Fee will be added to each participant's registration this season (one per family), as an incentive for all of our families to complete their required hours of volunteer time. By doing so, we have created a way to not only alleviate our continued struggle with obtaining enough help when and where it is needed, but also to ensure that every family in our program participates and does their fair share.
Here are the details:
Each family in the program is required to submit a post-dated check in the amount of $100 at the time their child(ren) registers for the program. This post-date check will not be deposited, but instead, will be held by our Treasurer for safe-keeping. Once your family turns in your signed volunteer hours sheet showing that you have completed your required number of volunteer hours, your post-dated check will be returned to you. If at the end of the season you have not fulfilled your required volunteer hours, your post-dated check will be cashed and will be considered a donation to the program.
Your family will receive your Volunteer hours sheet when you come to the park to pick up your child(ren)'s) uniform/equipment. Your post-dated check, in the amount of $100, will need to be handed in at this time, if not already turned in. Once your check is received, your child(ren) will be able to receive his/her/their equipment/uniform pieces.
Each family is required to volunteer a minimum of six (6) hours of time during the season. Volunteer hours can be filled by a parent, guardian, or other adult, (14 or older), family member and includes, but is not limited to, the following:
Early morning field and concession stand set -up during our home games
Work in the concession stand
Game clock running
End of day field and concession stand tear down and clean up
An online sign-up sheet will be available during the season so families can plan in advance and volunteer for those days and hours that work the best for them.
It will be each family’s responsibility to keep track of their volunteer hours and to have their volunteer sheet signed by their child’s head coach, team mom, or one of the board members, after each assignment is completed.
